Our History!
Prior to incorporating this company in 2020, EngageFast Learning CEO and founder, Dr. Nitin Jain, led various federally-funded Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology research programs as faculty at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where his lab performed research on protein enzymes for drug metabolism and thermostable catalysis, resulting in several noteworthy publications. During his tenure at the university, he also taught several lower and upper level courses as a biology instructor where he implemented innovative active learning and educational technology for increasing student engagement and performance in his classroom. In 2014, he pioneered a personalized narrative-based teaching method that used multi-step process analogies to conceptually connect actions of the scientific process to another process in the real world, later extending this approach to narrative-based case studies for applied learning. This methodology was integrated into the EngageFastLearning platform and has since then been enhanced with ChatGPT and other AI methods, positioning EFL as a leading AI-based company in the EdTech space.
Dr. Jain has received numerous awards for this approach and collaborated with top educational and AI researchers to develop it. He's dedicated to aiding other educators in implementing evidence-based active learning techniques, particularly those using personalized student narratives. The narrative-based pedagogy is gaining popularity, with instructors from several universities and other institutions now adopting it within their classrooms.
